Within the last 14 years Soroptimist Club Eferding was running several projects like financial support for regional flooding victims, medical care for dementia patients, The Sanitary Towel Program concerning hygiene products for girls in Africa, the Rain Worker Program in Africa and many more smaller cases in which product of daily need where financially supported for people in need. To raise funds for all these projects, the Soroptimist Club Eferding organizes in collaboration with Rotary, Lions, Round Table and Kiwanis the yearly event called “Kellerroase”, which is a wine tasting event where winemakers introduce their products. Further Soroptimist Eferding arranges a flea market annually and some other smaller events to raise money to keep long term projects going. One of the projects was to install pillars in front of famous historical buildings in Aschach a village next to the Danube, with a historic center and town houses dating from the Middle Age, explaining the history and the purpose of the monuments. The pillars allow people with all kinds of special needs to get this information.
